Medical Coordinator

About the role

The Medical Coordinator will ensure high‑quality medical services are delivered in line with Save the Children International (SCI) guidelines. Reporting to the Health Officer, the role involves overseeing the full referral cycle, monitoring patient progress, and providing accurate field reports.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medical case management from initial assessment through triage, referral, follow‑up and discharge.
• Conduct scheduled field visits to health facilities to verify service quality, track costs and maintain communication with provider focal points.
• Prepare and submit detailed admission, follow‑up and discharge reports, including cost breakdowns.
• Ensure accurate data entry in all relevant monitoring tools and track cash payments to public hospitals when required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MBBCh) with a valid licence and 2–4 years of clinical experience.
• Experience in medical case management and coordination with government authorities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills in English.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding principles and humanitarian standards.
