About the role

CACTUS is seeking a Medical Editor to support researchers worldwide in publishing their findings. You will combine strong English language skills with subject‑area expertise to produce clear, journal‑ready manuscripts.

Key responsibilities

• Edit scientific manuscripts to ensure they are written in standard scientific English and free of unclear or unidiomatic sentences.
• Follow job‑specific guidelines and, when required, format the manuscript according to the target journal’s specifications.
• Verify that all subject‑specific conventions and terminology are correctly applied.

Required profile

• PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Excellent command of English with strong attention to detail.
• Prior experience in academic or scientific editing is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in scientific English editing.
• Familiarity with journal formatting and submission guidelines.
• Subject‑area knowledge sufficient to recognize discipline‑specific conventions.
