MEP Technical Office Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Technical Office Engineer to lead HVAC design, coordination and documentation for large‑scale projects in Egypt. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical and plumbing services.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve HVAC shop drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications, ASHRAE/SMACNA standards and local codes.
• Coordinate MEP services to achieve clash‑free integration of HVAC, electrical conduits and plumbing systems.
• Perform cooling/heating load calculations and pipe sizing for VRF systems using manufacturer software.
• Prepare and manage material submittals, method statements and RFI documents, maintaining an organized log and following up on approvals.
• Execute accurate quantity take‑offs for HVAC materials, including VRF copper piping, insulation, ducts and air terminals, and support procurement with technical schedules.
• Provide on‑site technical support, troubleshoot installation issues and inspect HVAC/VRF installations to ensure quality before testing and commissioning.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in MEP contracting with a focus on HVAC design and technical office workflows.
• Proven expertise in large‑scale VRF system design, refrigerant piping and control integration.
• Strong ability to coordinate HVAC with electrical, firefighting and plumbing services.
• In‑depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFP).
