Mid-Level Offensive Security Specialist

About the role

Lumin Soft is seeking a Mid-Level Offensive Security Specialist to strengthen the security posture of its clients' digital assets. You will lead penetration testing engagements across web, API, mobile, and infrastructure environments, delivering actionable findings and supporting remediation efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform web application penetration testing.
• Conduct API security assessments.
• Execute mobile application security testing.
• Test internal and external infrastructure for vulnerabilities.
• Validate identified vulnerabilities and assign risk ratings.
• Write detailed technical reports and present findings.
• Verify remediation actions and retest as needed.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or related cybersecurity roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• One or more relevant certifications (e.g., OSWP, OSCP, OSEP, OSED, ECSA, CEH, CPT, CRTOP, CMWAPT, GWAPT, CompTIA Pen Test+).
• Hands‑on experience with web, API, mobile, and infrastructure penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and remediation practices.
• Proficiency with security assessment tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and report‑writing skills.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, security frameworks, and industry best practices.
