Middle & High School English Coordinator

About the role

The Middle & High School English Coordinator will lead the English Department across both divisions at New Generation International Schools in Obour City, Cairo. This position ensures the curriculum is delivered effectively, upholds academic standards, and supports continuous teacher development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of the English curriculum for Middle and High School levels.
• Maintain high academic standards and monitor student progress and achievement.
• Support and mentor teachers through professional development initiatives.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and school leadership to foster a positive learning environment.
• Analyze student performance data and develop improvement plans.
• Utilize educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, English Literature or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of English teaching experience, preferably at Middle or High School.
• Prior experience in a coordination, leadership or Head of Department role is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to mentor, motivate and support teachers effectively.
• Commitment to high academic and professional standards.
