Migrant Protection Assistant, Direct Assistance

About the role

The Migrant Protection Assistant, Direct Assistance will support victims of trafficking and other vulnerable migrants in Cairo. Working under the Programme Manager Protection and the Senior Programme Associate, the role focuses on delivering humane assistance while respecting gender and cultural differences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance and case support to victims of trafficking and vulnerable migrants.
• Liaise with governmental, diplomatic and international partners to coordinate protection activities.
• Maintain accurate records, databases and reports on assistance activities.
• Ensure all actions adhere to the highest moral and ethical standards.
• Assist in the preparation of informational materials and communication with beneficiaries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Psychology, Business Administration or a related community field with at least two years of relevant experience, or secondary school qualification with four years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with governmental or diplomatic authorities and international organisations.
• Good understanding of migration issues and how they affect vulnerability.

Required skills

• Strong communication abilities in English and Arabic.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access and Excel.
• Experience using databases and data‑entry tools.
