Migration Health Nurse

About the role

The Migration Health Nurse will support daily operations of the Migration Health Assessment Centre in Cairo, delivering high‑quality nursing services throughout the migration health assessment process. Working under the Senior Migration Health Nurse, the role ensures client‑centered service delivery while complying with IOM standards, infection‑prevention measures and quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily nursing activities for migration health assessments, including medical examinations, vaccinations, TB management and specimen collection.
• Collect and handle blood, urine, sputum and other specimens following biosafety and documentation procedures.
• Provide counselling and information to migrants about health assessment processes, treatment plans and referrals.
• Maintain accurate medical records, data entry and ensure compliance with IOM SOPs, infection control and quality standards.
• Support laboratory, radiology, pharmacy stock management and assist in mobile health missions and medical escort duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, valid Egyptian nursing license and at least three years of clinical experience.
• Experience in phlebotomy, specimen collection, tuberculosis management, immunization and working in multicultural environments.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
