Mobile Manager – Android

About the role

PwC is seeking a Mobile Manager – Android to lead Android engineering squads delivering secure, scalable enterprise mobile applications. The role involves shaping architecture, ensuring engineering excellence and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive client value.

Key responsibilities

• Own Android solution architecture (modular, clean, DI, reactive) and guide technical decisions across squads.
• Plan and deliver end‑to‑end engagements: estimation, resourcing, governance, risk and dependency management.
• Establish engineering excellence through code reviews, coding standards, test strategy, performance, accessibility and observability.
• Champion mobile security including secure storage, SSL pinning, certificate rotation, obfuscation, root detection and SAST/DAST.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gradle and Fastlane; automate quality gates and release pipelines for internal app stores/MDM.
• Mentor and performance‑manage engineers; develop hiring pipelines and upskilling paths aligned with PwC Professional.
• Collaborate with design, product, QA, cloud and integration leaders to deliver client outcomes.
• Engage with clients to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, run architecture reviews and demos.
• Own vendor/SDK governance for analytics, crash reporting, feature flags, payments and identity.
• Drive continuous improvement and reuse through starter kits, libraries and documentation.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of overall experience, with at least 4 years leading Android teams.
• Proven delivery of complex, regulated or enterprise mobile solutions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to work with clients and cross‑functional stakeholders.
