About the role

Silicon Valley International School (SVIS) in Cairo’s New Administrative Capital is seeking qualified educators and support staff for its British and American divisions. The school offers a range of classroom teaching positions across primary and early‑years grades as well as leadership roles such as Heads of Department and specialist positions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons for assigned grades and subjects.
• Assess student progress using data‑driven methods and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and caring classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, department heads and school leadership to improve instructional practice.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities, school events and professional development sessions.
• For leadership roles, oversee departmental planning, mentor teachers and contribute to school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the teaching subject or Education; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Accredited teaching certificate (e.g., PGCE, IB, TEFL, CELTA) is advantageous.
• 3–5+ years of successful classroom teaching experience with documented student progress.
• Fluent English (C1‑C2); Arabic preferred for community communication.
• Current child‑protection training and clean background checks.
• Strong planning, assessment and classroom management skills.

Required skills

• English language proficiency (C1‑C2).
• Data‑analysis for student assessment.
