Operations Executive – Shipping Services

About the role

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking an Operations Executive to support principals, manage shipment inquiries and ensure smooth information flow between clients and principals. The role involves preparing, verifying and releasing shipping documentation in line with company policies and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain discharge lists from principals and prepare import B/L data for customs platform upload.
• Send arrival notices to customers and issue Delivery Orders for cargo delivery.
• Prepare and send import invoices to local customers after vessel arrival.
• Follow up with customers and principals to resolve import‑related issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers and principals to ensure timely completion of import operations.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in import shipping documentation, logistics or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using shipping software systems.
