Operations Lead – Ultra Fast Grocery (UTR/OTR)

About the role

Amazon Ultra Fast Grocery is building a new fast‑delivery service in Egypt. As an Operations Lead you will manage either Under‑The‑Roof (UTR) or On‑The‑Road (OTR) store operations, ensuring high customer‑facing metrics while maintaining safety, quality and team morale.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end UTR or OTR operations for one large site or multiple smaller sites.
• Meet customer‑facing metrics and operational/quality targets.
• Drive performance management, coaching and feedback for associates.
• Design and deliver training and development plans for pickers.
• Collaborate with merchant stakeholders to continuously improve processes.
• Conduct daily 4M/5S and Safety Gemba audits.
• Work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, across different locations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in a customer‑facing, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to travel to stores across Egypt.
• 1‑3 years of experience managing a process and people.
• Self‑motivated, able to work under pressure and in ambiguous situations.
• Good people‑management, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies is a plus.
• SQL knowledge is advantageous.
