Oracle Apps DBA (EBS) – Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Apps DBA to administer, maintain and support our Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) environments and the underlying Oracle databases. The role ensures high availability, performance, security and business continuity across development, test and production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Oracle E‑Business Suite R12.x environments, applying patches with AD utilities and ADOP online patching.
• Perform EBS cloning and rapid environment refreshes for DEV/TEST/UAT, and manage concurrent managers, workflow and WebLogic components.
• Administer Oracle databases supporting EBS, including users, schemas, tablespaces, and perform performance tuning using AWR, ASH and SQL tuning.
• Design and maintain RMAN backup and recovery strategies, and configure Oracle Data Guard physical standby with switchover/failover operations.
• Provide production support, resolve database and application tier issues, and collaborate with functional, infrastructure, security and Oracle Support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 4–6 years of Oracle DBA experience, including at least 3 years as an Oracle Apps/EBS DBA.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with Oracle Data Guard and strong RMAN backup/recovery skills.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is required.

Required skills

• ADOP online patching, AD utilities, Rapid Clone, EBS patching.
• Oracle Database administration, RMAN, AWR, ASH, SQL and PL/SQL tuning.
• Oracle Data Guard configuration and disaster recovery planning.
• Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting.
• Experience with Oracle RAC/ASM and exposure to OCI or cloud migration is a plus.
