Ordering & Inventory Specialist

About the role

The Ordering & Inventory Specialist ensures seamless end‑to‑end purchase ordering, inventory coordination, and demand planning for heavy‑equipment operations. Acting as a bridge between Business Units, Caterpillar, Logistics, and Finance, the role guarantees accurate order execution, timely delivery, and robust S&OP processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Units to create accurate purchase orders aligned with approved demand plans.
• Manage all order placements with Caterpillar, including document control, order confirmations, and production scheduling.
• Monitor machine availability, supplier timelines, and ensure compliance with specifications and commercial terms.
• Track purchase orders with suppliers and Logistics, resolve shipment delays, and support import documentation.
• Lead monthly S&OP cycles by consolidating demand forecasts and aligning them with ordering and inventory strategies.
• Coordinate with Finance to process payments, issue commercial invoices, and maintain consistency across financial and inventory records.
• Maintain high‑quality data in inventory systems, monitor movements, and generate operational reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in ordering, inventory management, or supply‑chain coordination.
• Proven experience with purchase order management, demand planning, and S&OP processes.
• Strong analytical and coordination abilities.
