Part-time Peer Reviewer – Mechanics (PhD required)

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers to join our remote, long‑term peer‑review team for manuscripts in the field of mechanics. This part‑time position offers stable work from anywhere, allowing you to contribute your expertise while maintaining flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Check that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity, validity, and significance.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in mechanics or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
