About the role
The Pastry Chef will lead the pastry operation at the Hilton Alexandria Corniche Hotel, working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver outstanding dessert experiences for guests and members.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in running the pastry section of the kitchen.
- Maintain excellent quality across all dessert offerings.
- Introduce creative concepts to the pastry menu.
- Supervise and coordinate pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
- Plan daily production to meet service requirements.
- Develop seasonal menu items.
- Manage food cost controls to support revenue goals.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health‑and‑safety regulations.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or Pastry Chef.
- Experience in high‑volume food production.
- Creative approach to pastry.
- Strong supervisory abilities.
- Current, valid trade qualification.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Commitment to high‑level customer service and excellent grooming standards.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
