Payroll Team Leader

About the role

Concrete Plus, a leading construction company, is looking for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to manage payroll operations for employees, laborers and subcontractors in New Cairo. The role ensures compliance with labor regulations and delivers accurate, timely payroll services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the payroll team, ensuring efficient and accurate payroll processing.
• Manage end‑to‑end payroll activities for employees, laborers and subcontractors.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including overtime, allowances, deductions and bonuses.
• Review payroll calculations and verify attendance, timesheets and related records.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, social insurance requirements and company policies.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance and project teams to resolve payroll‑related issues.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations and management summaries.
• Handle payroll audits and support internal and external audit requirements.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and payroll system enhancements.
• Train, mentor and evaluate payroll team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, labor laws, taxes and social insurance requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
