Planning Coordinator

About the role

The Planning Coordinator will lead the development, maintenance and tracking of comprehensive project schedules for the capital‑expenditure portfolio at the Sukari gold mine. Based in the Projects Department, the role ensures accurate field execution data, critical‑path analysis and logistics tracking to support safe, cost‑effective delivery of mining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain integrated project master schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, identify critical paths and model “what‑if” scenarios.
• Estimate and allocate labour, specialised tooling, cranes and contractor resources; coordinate with Procurement and Logistics to track long‑lead equipment.
• Break down engineering drawings into work packs, bills of materials and step‑by‑step field tasks.
• Collect daily/weekly progress from supervisors, update earned‑value metrics and produce dashboards showing KPIs, schedule compliance and resource burn rates.
• Assess schedule impacts of engineering change orders, update baselines and facilitate post‑project close‑out and lessons‑learned documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Professional planning certification (e.g., AACE, PMI‑SP) is highly regarded.
• 10+ years of experience in construction planning or scheduling for heavy‑industrial projects, preferably in mining or mineral processing.
