Planning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to join our project team and ensure that all construction activities are accurately scheduled and tracked. The role involves maintaining the master schedule, preparing progress reports and supporting invoicing and claims processes.

Key responsibilities

• Update the project schedule based on inputs from the project team.
• Prepare monthly progress reports for consultants, engineers, project managers and clients.
• Monitor progress against the baseline schedule and highlight critical activities.
• Prepare monthly client invoices for project packages.
• Analyse subcontractor performance and prepare related reports.
• Develop and manage Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Integrate subcontractors' schedules for comprehensive progress tracking.
• Prepare procurement schedules and forecast overall project progress.
• Report current work progress to the Project Manager, comparing planned versus actual performance and suggesting corrective actions.
• Perform additional tasks to streamline workflow within the planning specialty.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning, preferably within a contractor environment.
