Planning Engineer – Project Scheduling & Resource Planning

About the role

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling, resource planning and progress monitoring for our construction projects in Giza. The role involves using Primavera P6 to develop and maintain baseline schedules, support procurement planning and prepare detailed progress reports for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project baseline schedules in Primavera P6 covering design, procurement and construction activities, and update them regularly.
• Prepare manpower and resource plans, including histograms aligned with the project schedule.
• Produce monthly progress reports with S‑curves, shop‑drawing status, procurement updates, site photos, invoice tracking and variation orders.
• Conduct delay analysis and schedule impact assessments to support claims and contractual requirements.
• Create the Annual Operational Plan and quarterly performance dashboards in coordination with Cost Control and Contracts teams.
• Develop strategic procurement plans based on Primavera schedules and distribute remaining quantities against the approved BOQ.

Required profile

• Proven experience preparing claims‑related planning deliverables, including delay impact reports and Primavera (XER) files.
• Ability to generate detailed progress and performance presentations for top management.
• Strong analytical skills for schedule control, delay analysis and operational planning.
