Plant Manufacturing Production Manager

About the role

The Plant Manufacturing Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring that production, packaging, and warehouse activities run efficiently while complying with company policies and regulatory standards. The role drives operational excellence through capacity planning, process optimisation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise work across production, packaging and warehouse to achieve maximum performance.
• Coordinate with the Planning Department to improve schedules, meet demand and optimise efficiency.
• Allocate resources and fully utilise assets to meet production targets.
• Implement and monitor OEE targets based on product mix and machine capabilities.
• Lead value‑stream mapping for top products to reduce cycle time.
• Manage tech‑transfer of products between sites, ensuring smooth transitions.
• Develop succession plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in production management of sterile and solid dosage forms.
• Proven leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience managing multiple sites and leading operational‑excellence programmes.
