Platform & Cloud DevOps Senior Associate

About the role

PwC is recruiting a Platform & Cloud DevOps Senior Associate for its Advisory practice in Cairo. The role leads the design, implementation and maintenance of secure and efficient DevOps activities across cloud environments, working closely with software development, AI, data, operations and security teams. It sits within a team reporting to the Cloud Service Delivery Director and supports client transformation programs across the PwC Global Network.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure and automation, and provide technical guidance and promote continuous learning.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges and risks and aligning technical teams with business objectives.
• Lead the design and continuous optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or cloud-native solutions (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Integrate security tools and practices into the pipeline, including vulnerability scanning and compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA and SOC 2, using tools such as GCP Security Command Center, AWS GuardDuty or Azure Sentinel.
• Analyze business requirements and design scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, or CloudFormation or ARM) and Security as Code, automating security controls.
• Set up monitoring and logging with Google Cloud Operations Suite, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK stack.
• Deploy and orchestrate containers with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred, EKS or AKS acceptable).

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience, including 4+ DevOps projects (at least two different solutions, 6+ months each) and a growing presence in the engineering ecosystem.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Communications Engineering.
• Fluent English (speaking and writing).
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and strong stakeholder communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (GCP, AWS or Azure), including Kubernetes, serverless functions and managed databases.
• CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GCP Cloud Build or AWS CodePipeline.
• Cloud-native security tools such as GCP Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub or Azure Security Center.
• IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates.
• Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred, EKS or AKS acceptable).
