Port Engineer / Technical Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Port Engineer / Technical Superintendent to join our team in New Damietta, Egypt. The role involves overseeing the technical performance of our fleet, ensuring vessels operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track technical performance of the fleet and identify early‑stage deficiencies.
• Analyze vessel reports and machinery data to detect abnormalities and prevent breakdowns.
• Support onboard engineers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Prepare preventive maintenance, repair and dry‑docking plans.
• Coordinate spare parts procurement, technical services and repair attendance.
• Investigate recurring machinery failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, statutory and company requirements.
• Supervise repair works and technical projects as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the maritime industry.
• Strong background in ship machinery, marine diesel engines and auxiliary systems.
• Practical experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues both onboard and ashore.
• Good knowledge of Class, Flag State, ISM and PSC requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
