Power Consultant – Electrical Systems Expert

About the role

We are looking for a Power Consultant to deliver high‑impact assessments and solutions for a diverse client base. You will combine deep electrical expertise with customer insight to solve complex power challenges and create new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements, prepare accurate quotations and provide value‑engineered design solutions.
• Develop functional design specifications and chargeable design advice for electrical networks, protection and earthing systems.
• Perform power system studies (load‑flow, fault level, protection coordination, harmonic analysis, transient stability, motor starting) using ETAP and PSSE.
• Conduct power quality and harmonics monitoring, delivering compliance reports.
• Execute detailed electrical network audits on complex process sites and produce findings with recommendations and reliability analysis.
• Provide high‑quality technical advice on equipment selection to internal and external customers.
• Support sales, tendering and project execution teams as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7‑10 years of relevant experience in design, protection or power systems engineering.
• Strong commercial knowledge of the customer base and business drivers.
• Proven track record in technical sales and complex project delivery.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
• Proficient with PC, Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
