Primary Music Teacher (2026-2027)

About the role

GEMS British International School is looking for a dedicated Primary Music Teacher for the academic year 2026‑2027. The successful candidate will inspire young learners, nurture their musical abilities and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive school community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive music lessons for various age groups and skill levels.
• Teach music theory, instrumental and vocal techniques, and encourage creativity through individual and group performances.
• Organise and participate in school concerts, recitals and other musical events.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music with other subjects and school activities.
• Maintain an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that motivates students.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification and prior teaching experience (preferred).
• Passion for music education and commitment to a positive learning environment.
• Willingness to contribute to extracurricular music activities and school events.

Required skills

• Proficiency in multiple musical instruments.
• Strong grasp of music theory.
