Principal Engineer, Mixed-Signal Design Engineering

About the role

Analog Devices' Industrial Architecture Team is looking for an experienced Principal Mixed-Signal Design Engineer with high-speed, fine-line mixed-signal CMOS experience. The engineer will join an advanced architecture team developing system-level designs on monolithic and heterogeneously integrated systems, and will help drive a high-performance industrial portfolio into new, more integrated market segments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture for clock generation and distribution in an advanced mixed-signal IC for pin electronic testing
• PLL design, integration and debug
• Multi-GHz clock distribution and multi-chip synchronization
• Phase interpolators and circuits for measuring and correcting timing errors
• Assist in the architecture of a receive path, including subblock specifications such as CTLE, PGA and A/D converter

Required profile

• PhD required
• 5-10 years of experience in analog design and design integration
• Demonstrated track record of performance and innovation, shown through patents, peer-reviewed publications and/or product leadership
• Self-motivated, with strong technical, analytical and communication skills

Required skills

• Analog/RF designer with CMOS IC design experience and multiple tapeouts
• Good understanding of analog/RF circuits and systems, communication theory (with emphasis on wired-link equalization), MOS device modeling, signal integrity and SerDes
• Extensive experience in PCB design, troubleshooting and RF measurements
• Preferred: tapeouts in FinFET technology
