Principal Technical Office Engineer – Architectural

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Technical Office Engineer – Architectural to lead the architectural technical office for large‑scale construction projects. The role involves overseeing the preparation, review and coordination of all architectural drawings, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Study contract documents, schedules, design drawings and BOQ to fully understand project specifications.
• Maintain and update the shop‑drawing log, submit drawings for consultant approval and guarantee compliance with design intent.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, coordinate with consultants to resolve technical ambiguities.
• Review subcontractor and outsourced shop drawings, facilitate approval processes and address discrepancies.
• Lead the architectural technical office team, providing guidance, fostering collaboration and monitoring performance.
• Assist in resolving unexpected technical issues on site and report them to the Technical Office Manager.
• Produce accurate as‑built drawings at project close‑out and hand them over to the consultant.
• Ensure all work adheres to project standards, codes and specifications through regular checks.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings and coordinate with structural and MEP disciplines for integrated design.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Architectural Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in architectural technical office work on large‑scale projects such as hospitals, malls or hotels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
