Procurement Manager – Manufacturing & Packaging

About the role

El Mohandess Print House is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing strategy for its printing and packaging operations. The role will oversee both local and international procurement, ensuring material availability for production while driving cost efficiencies and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead sourcing of paperboard, paper, inks, chemicals, machinery, MRO items, packaging materials and services.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with local and global suppliers.
• Monitor market trends, raw‑material prices and supply risks.
• Drive cost‑reduction and value‑engineering projects without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehousing, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Supply Chain teams.
• Lead supplier performance evaluation and continuous development initiatives.
• Prepare procurement budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Establish, monitor and improve procurement KPIs.
• Coach and develop the procurement team and promote digitalisation through ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, APICS) preferred; MBA considered an advantage.
• 10–15 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years in a senior procurement leadership role.
• Experience in packaging, printing, paper, pharmaceuticals, FMCG or related industries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for procurement processes.
