Procurement Specialist – Supplier Sourcing & Vendor Management

About the role

The Procurement Specialist supports day‑to‑day procurement operations, handling supplier sourcing, purchase order management, contract administration and vendor coordination. The role works closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely, accurate and policy‑compliant procurement outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to gather pricing data, identify qualified suppliers and assess fit for procurement requirements.
• Monitor market trends and pricing, flagging cost‑saving opportunities for the manager.
• Participate in supplier evaluation and negotiations across categories such as hospitality, logistics and third‑party services.
• Track supplier performance on delivery, quality and reliability, escalating issues as needed.
• Draft and review procurement agreements, ensuring alignment with policies, budgets and stakeholder requirements.
• Process purchase orders through the full cycle, verify receipts against delivery notes and invoices, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized records of procurement transactions, contracts and communications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather requirements and identify cost‑effective sourcing options.
• Negotiate pricing and terms, documenting outcomes for reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in procurement or supply‑chain functions.
• Strong command of English for written and verbal business communication.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the manager.
• Willingness to develop expertise in procurement principles and vendor management practices.
