Production Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Production Engineer to join Mighty Foods’ rice cake and savory snack manufacturing plant. The role focuses on optimizing production lines, ensuring product quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations of rice cakes and savory snacks, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and efficiency standards.
• Monitor and analyse line performance (OEE, yield, throughput) to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and optimise Standard Operating Procedures for machinery, line changeovers and cleaning routines.
• Collaborate with maintenance and QA teams to maintain equipment reliability and meet HACCP, ISO and other food‑safety requirements.
• Support new product trials, line commissioning and scale‑up of new SKUs.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing practices such as Kaizen, 5S and waste‑reduction initiatives.
• Track and report key production KPIs, providing insights to improve cost efficiency and productivity.
• Assist in production planning and scheduling in coordination with supply‑chain teams.
• Train operators and technicians to ensure consistent production practices and skill development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Food Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production, preferably with rice cakes or snack products.
• Strong understanding of food‑processing machinery (puffing, coating, seasoning, packaging).
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and other food‑safety and quality systems.
