Production Supervisor 2nd shift

About the role

The Production Supervisor will direct and coordinate the operations team on the 2nd shift, ensuring that production assembly meets cost, quality and delivery targets. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role continuously optimizes processes to reliably produce customer products while driving safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute the production schedule based on the MRP and coordinate with planners, quality and engineering teams.
• Manage staffing levels, labor efficiency and capacity to meet delivery and productivity goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as safety, quality, lean, and Six Sigma across the shift.
• Lead root‑cause analysis (5 Why) and implement corrective actions for process instability.

Required profile

• Available for 2nd shift (Mon‑Fri, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) with occasional overtime.
• Minimum 5 years experience in high‑volume mechanical assembly or SMT manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 and IPC standards knowledge.
• Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) and Lean continuous‑improvement methods.
• Root‑cause analysis (5 Why) and corrective‑action planning.
• Proficiency with MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word and email.
• Experience with SMT manufacturing and mechanical assembly processes.
