Project Controls Manager – SCTT Equipment Electrification Upgrade

About the role

APM Terminals is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead the controls discipline for the SCTT Equipment Electrification Upgrade project, starting Q3 2026. The role is full‑time onsite in Port Said, Egypt, and combines hands‑on planning with leadership of the overall controls function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all project controls activities, including planning, scheduling, reporting, governance, change control, risk management and performance monitoring.
• Develop and maintain Primavera P6 schedules, WBS, Advanced Work Packaging and the Project Execution Plan.
• Establish and track scope, schedule, cost and quality baselines, providing accurate performance updates and forecasts.
• Administer project control systems (primarily PMWeb), manage user access, system improvements and integration.
• Collaborate with project teams, global functions, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure alignment and transparency.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a project controls function.
• Proven accountability on at least one large‑scale, complex capital infrastructure project.
• Experience working in culturally and technically diverse teams and communicating effectively in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as APM PMQ, PMI PMP or equivalent.

Required skills

• Advanced planning and scheduling using Primavera P6.
• Project control platforms such as PMWeb, Proliance, PCM or Skire.
• Project management tools including MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of change management, risk management and cost control processes.
• Ability to mentor and coach project controls resources.
