Project Manager – Aswan (EKN2)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the two‑year “Improving Access to Lifesaving SGBV, Health and Protection Services for Displaced Sudanese Communities” project in Aswan, Egypt. Funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the role ensures effective planning, coordination, implementation and reporting to deliver safe, equitable and timely services to displaced Sudanese populations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring financial compliance and timely resource mobilisation.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including logistics, safety, security and award management.
• Coordinate with governorate authorities, INGOs, NGOs and other stakeholders to align activities and represent the project.
• Lead a team of senior officers (SGBV, MHPSS, health) and ensure integrated delivery of case management, health, psychosocial support and empowerment activities.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, produce reports and ensure adherence to Save the Children International standards.
• Adapt working hours and responsibilities in response to major humanitarian emergencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing multi‑sectoral humanitarian projects, preferably in health, protection or gender‑based violence.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial management and donor reporting.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills at regional and national levels.
• Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team in a challenging environment.
