Proposal and Contract Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Proposal and Contract Engineer with a strong background in project management and contract writing to support our business development activities. The role involves preparing competitive proposals, managing contract handovers, and collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to business opportunities to increase sales volume and market share.
• Study client briefs and RFPs, and assist in developing market‑segment strategies.
• Prepare fee and cost estimates, coordinate with sub‑consultants, and compile commercial/legal proposal documents, including bid and performance bonds.
• Support the Business Development Executive in reviewing, studying, and submitting technical and commercial proposals.
• Provide proposals to customers, develop action plans, and follow up on submitted offers.
• Consolidate contracts for awarded projects and hand them over to the project management team.
• Monitor competitor activities, conduct market research, and prepare regular reports.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on market research and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Architecture.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a Proposal and Contract Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of contract formats such as FIDIC and NIC.
• Familiarity with pre‑qualification document submission.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Microsoft Project.
• Adobe InDesign.
• In‑depth understanding of FIDIC and NIC contract clauses.
