Proposal Manager

About the role

AIG is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the preparation and issuance of technical and commercial submittals for tenders across its diverse industry portfolio. The role ensures full compliance with customer RFQs, coordinates sales activities, and supports post‑delivery processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue technical and commercial submittals for tenders before closing dates, ensuring compliance with RFQs.
• Manage the sales queue to align proposed solutions with sales instructions and customer requirements.
• Follow up on open orders through delivery, invoicing, and post‑delivery stages.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, information requests, and pricing questions.
• Maintain and regularly update the inquiry/order log sheet.
• Prepare detailed Win/Loss reports for each account.
• Define and uphold acceptable gross profit margins in collaboration with Sales Account Managers.
• Report any financial loss incurred after order placement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge of all products and solutions.
• Assist the Sales Team with product updates and technical support.
• Serve as escalation point for technical or design issues, coordinating with manufacturers.
• Provide accurate technical clarifications to customers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports with performance insights.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Finance to ensure accurate order documentation.
• Make quote/decline decisions based on strengths‑weaknesses analysis with Sales Account Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of experience in proposal or tender management.
• Strong technical knowledge of products and solutions in oil & gas, petrochemicals, power generation, industrial, aviation, and ICT sectors.
• Proven ability to coordinate with sales, logistics, and finance teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
