Purchase Specialist

About the role

The Purchase Specialist will manage daily procurement activities for our client in Al Maḩallah al Kubrá. Working on‑site, you will ensure that materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Create, track and reconcile purchase orders, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to identify material and service needs.
• Research potential suppliers, request quotations, evaluate offers and negotiate pricing and terms within approved guidelines.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and support timely payment processing.
• Maintain up‑to‑date purchasing records and assist with budget adherence and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to track supplier performance and ensure compliance with procurement policies and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or supply‑chain roles, preferably handling purchase orders end‑to‑end.
• Strong analytical ability to compare suppliers, assess cost‑benefit and make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP or dedicated purchasing software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
• Familiarity with database management for tracking procurement data.
