Purchasing Specialist (Restaurants & Café)

About the role

The Purchasing Specialist will manage the complete procurement cycle for restaurant and café supplies, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing while maintaining quality and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Strategically oversee end‑to‑end procurement, from sourcing to delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and quality standards.
• Implement and optimise purchasing strategies to achieve cost efficiency.
• Monitor market trends and identify new products or suppliers aligned with brand needs.
• Collaborate with kitchen, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement in supply‑chain processes for reliability and responsiveness.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in purchasing or procurement within the restaurant, café, hospitality or food‑and‑beverage sector.
• Proven expertise in logistics management, procurement strategy and advanced purchasing techniques.
• Track record of supply‑chain optimisation, vendor management and strong negotiation skills.
• Solid financial acumen in inventory control, cost analysis and contract management.
• Experience with food & beverage sourcing and a good understanding of restaurant operations.
