QA Manager – Food Safety & Quality Assurance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead our food safety and quality assurance initiatives for a leading confectionery/FMCG producer. The role involves developing, implementing and maintaining robust quality systems aligned with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive quality assurance systems in line with ISO 22000, ISO 9001 and HACCP standards.
• Lead, mentor and manage the QA team to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in‑process products and finished goods.
• Coordinate with production, R&D and supply‑chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage internal and external audits and prepare for certification processes.
• Investigate customer complaints and non‑conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality data, generate reports for senior management and recommend improvements.
• Ensure all QA documentation is accurate, up‑to‑date and regulatory compliant.
• Train staff on quality standards, food safety protocols and hygiene practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience managing quality assurance in the food industry, preferably confectionery or FMCG.
• Proven track record leading QA teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
