QA & Testing Automation Tech Specialist

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a QA & Testing Automation Tech Specialist to join the Enterprise Solutions Tribe. This entry‑level position supports the testing team in delivering high‑quality software, executing manual tests, learning automation basics, and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases, document test steps, and report defects clearly.
• Assist in creating and maintaining test artifacts under senior guidance.
• Participate in automation scripting training, run automated tests and interpret results.
• Support senior testers in developing and maintaining test scripts.
• Collaborate with business and development teams to understand requirements and testing scope.
• Attend daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and review meetings, providing status updates.
• Take part in internal training, mentorship programs, and continuously improve testing methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in software testing or relevant academic projects.
• Basic understanding of software development and QA processes.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification (mandatory).

Required skills

• Test case design, execution and defect reporting.
• Familiarity with a test‑management or defect‑tracking tool (e.g., JIRA).
• Exposure to test‑automation tools such as Selenium or Appium.
• Basic scripting/programming knowledge (Java or Python).
