Quality Assurance Engineer – Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our quality team at SEGAM GROUP, a premium dates producer. The role ensures that all stages of production meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) implementation across sorting, washing, drying, packing, and storage.
• Monitor hygiene levels on production lines and verify cleaning and sanitation procedures (CIP & SIP).
• Inspect incoming raw dates and packaging materials, reviewing certificates of analysis and health certificates.
• Conduct finished‑product testing – physical, chemical and sensory – and confirm label accuracy.
• Support the HACCP system, identify and log Critical Control Points (CCPs).
• Investigate non‑conformances, determine root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform periodic internal audits across production, warehousing and logistics.
• Maintain organized, traceable quality records and prepare daily/weekly performance reports.
• Calibrate measuring and testing instruments regularly and keep calibration records up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of quality assurance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000 and GMP standards.
• Proven experience conducting internal audits and managing CAPA processes.
• Excellent attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
