Quality Assurance Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are a small B2B software team building a data product for the Egyptian market. As our first dedicated QA hire, you will own quality across the product, ensuring data accuracy, reliable reports and trusted customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own quality from feature definition through release validation.
• Test web applications, dashboards, reports, APIs and data‑driven workflows.
• Verify data accuracy, completeness and consistency across sources.
• Translate product requirements into test cases, edge cases and acceptance scenarios.
• Reproduce, document and prioritize bugs for rapid engineering response.
• Run regression testing before releases and help build a reliable release process.
• Investigate customer‑reported issues to determine root cause in interface, logic, data or external sources.
• Introduce test automation where it adds real value and maintain QA documentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience testing web‑based software products.
• Strong manual testing skills with ability to think beyond happy‑path scenarios.
• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
• Comfortable querying databases with SQL to validate data and investigate issues.
• Ability to write clear, reproducible bug reports with supporting evidence.
• Good written English and fluent Arabic.
