Quality Assurance Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

Shinebed is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join its factory team in Egypt. The role will oversee product quality from raw material receipt through final shipment, ensuring compliance with company, customer and export standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor product quality across all manufacturing stages – incoming materials, cutting, sewing, filling, assembly, packaging and finished goods.
• Perform incoming, in‑process, pre‑final and final inspections according to company and customer specifications.
• Inspect fabrics, stitching, dimensions, weight, colour, labeling, packaging and overall appearance.
• Verify that finished products match approved samples, specifications, packaging requirements and AQL standards.
• Identify defects, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Analyse defect trends and quality data to recommend process improvements.
• Prepare inspection reports, quality records, SOPs, work instructions and control standards.
• Support new product development, pilot runs and first‑article inspections.
• Handle customer complaints, quality claims and audit requirements.
• Train production staff and inspectors on quality standards and inspection methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of quality assurance or quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in home textiles, bedding, garments, soft goods, furniture, mattresses or consumer products is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality control processes and inspection procedures.
