Quality Control Chemist – Paints & Coatings

About the role

The Quality Control Chemist will ensure that all raw materials, in‑process products and finished goods meet SIPES' stringent quality standards. Working on‑site in the 10th of Ramadan City plant, you will play a key role in maintaining product integrity for the paints and coatings division.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify QC inspection and test results for compliance with quality standards.
• Approve or reject raw materials, packaging, in‑process items and finished goods, communicating decisions to relevant departments.
• Investigate quality issues, recommend corrective actions and suspend non‑conforming batches when necessary.
• Supervise inspection of returned products and ensure proper cleaning, sterilisation and calibration of production equipment and laboratory instruments.
• Prepare detailed quality control reports and ensure adherence to the company’s QMS and ISO standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Proven experience in Quality Control within the paints, coatings or chemical manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of paint manufacturing processes, laboratory testing methods and QC procedures.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
