Quality Control Engineer – Electrical

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer specialized in electrical systems to ensure that all designs, installations and testing meet the required codes, standards and project specifications. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, field electricians and testing laboratories to deliver safe and compliant electrical work.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, drawings and specifications for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct on‑site inspections of electrical installations and equipment to assess workmanship, materials and safety.
• Coordinate with testing laboratories to oversee functional and safety testing of electrical systems.
• Identify quality issues and work with the project team to develop corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed quality control records, reports and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to field electricians on quality control best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers to achieve electrical quality objectives within schedule and budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and other relevant electrical standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills.
