Quality Control Engineer – Stainless Steel Fabrication

About the role

The Quality Control Engineer will ensure that stainless‑steel fabricated components meet strict quality, safety and hygienic standards. The role involves overseeing inspection processes, calibration activities and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inspection plans, QC checklists and quality benchmarks for stainless‑steel fabrication, welding and hygienic designs.
• Oversee calibration programs for factory measuring and testing instruments.
• Conduct incoming and in‑process inspections of raw materials and intermediate products at defined hold points.
• Perform final testing, issue QC reports and decide on product release.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports, lead root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Promote 5S, continuous improvement and track quality KPIs for client hand‑over.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience, at least 3 years in stainless‑steel fabrication.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, welding inspection standards, hygienic food‑grade design guidelines and GD&T.

Required skills

• Interpretation of technical drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Use of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Calibration program management for measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Understanding of welding inspection standards and GD&T.
• Application of hygienic food‑grade design principles.
