Quality & Hygiene Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality & Hygiene Officer to join our hotel team in Sharm El‑Sheikh. You will safeguard guest health by ensuring food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are consistently met across all operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive Food Safety Management System aligned with international standards and Egyptian regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of kitchens, storage, receiving, transportation, and buffet areas.
• Collect and analyse samples (food, water, surfaces, hands, raw materials) for microbiological testing and provide corrective recommendations.
• Perform hand‑hygiene and surface‑contamination checks using swab testing methods.
• Organise and deliver training on food safety, personal hygiene and sanitation to kitchen and stewarding staff.
• Maintain detailed documentation and quality records for audit readiness.
• Investigate non‑conforming products, manage corrective actions and oversee emergency protocols such as product recalls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and address guest food‑safety complaints professionally.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen, stewarding and medical teams.
• Experience in a hospitality or food‑service environment is preferred.
