Quality Supervisor – Food Safety & Assurance

About the role

Emkay Foods is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead all quality control and assurance activities across receiving, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution. You will ensure strict compliance with Egyptian food regulations and international safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise QC and QA operations throughout the production chain.
• Maintain compliance with NFSA, Egyptian food regulations, and Whitelist requirements.
• Implement and continuously improve HACCP, GMP, GHP, SSOP, and FSSC 22000 systems.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare for NFSA, customer, and certification audits.
• Monitor CCPs, product specifications, traceability, and product release procedures.
• Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non‑conformities; drive effective CAPA.
• Oversee laboratory testing, microbiological monitoring, environmental swabbing, and product verification.
• Ensure Halal compliance and proper meat handling where applicable.
• Develop quality KPIs and report regularly to senior management.
• Train production teams on food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to improve product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Microbiology or related field.
• 3–5 years experience as a Quality Supervisor in food or meat processing.
• Proven experience with NFSA inspections, customer audits, and Whitelist compliance.
• Certified training in HACCP and ISO 22000 highly preferred.
