Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Receivable Accountant supports the finance team by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, maintaining cash records, and providing timely reporting. This position works within a hospitality environment, requiring attention to detail and strong guest‑service orientation.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
• Organize, secure, and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with company policies.
• Record, store, and analyze computerized financial information, maintaining accurate electronic spreadsheets.
• Classify, code, and summarize numerical data using journals, ledgers, or accounting software.
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute financial, accounting, auditing, and payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
• Follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Address guest service needs professionally and respond to telephone and email inquiries.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related accounts receivable or finance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic spreadsheets for financial data.
