Recreation Manager – Hotel Lifestyle

About the role

The Recreation Manager will lead the hotel’s leisure and activity programme, ensuring guests enjoy safe, engaging and memorable experiences. Reporting to senior hotel management, you will oversee a dedicated recreation team and coordinate a diverse portfolio of activities that reflect the brand’s vibrant personality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and supervise the recreation team, create work schedules and monitor performance.
• Design, organise and implement a wide range of recreational programmes including fitness classes, pool activities, sports, arts & crafts, games and outdoor excursions.
• Respond to guest feedback, resolve issues promptly and create memorable experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and functionality of pools, fitness centres, sports areas and equipment.
• Enforce safety regulations, train staff in emergency procedures and manage incident documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory control and cost‑effective procurement for the recreation department.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing recreation or leisure services in a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to safety standards.
