Regional Franchise Head – Primary Care (META)

About the role

The Regional Franchise Head (Primary Care) will be based in Cairo and report to the Commercial Director, META. This senior leader will set the strategic direction, drive business performance and expand the market for the primary‑care portfolio across the region, focusing on therapeutic areas such as digestive care, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. The role works closely with sales, marketing, medical, commercial excellence and market‑access teams to ensure effective commercialization and life‑cycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional strategies for the primary‑care portfolio, aligning with global and country‑specific objectives.
• Lead execution of regional marketing plans, optimise product growth and respond to market opportunities.
• Oversee product launches and life‑cycle management to meet evolving market needs.
• Drive brand strategy and equity across key therapeutic areas, ensuring clear value proposition for HCPs and patients.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration between marketing, sales, medical and market‑access teams for cohesive execution.
• Champion digital transformation and omnichannel initiatives to enhance portfolio competitiveness.
• Provide strategic input on business development projects, evaluating partnerships and expansion opportunities.
• Mentor and coach country teams, fostering high performance and professional growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Pharmacy or related field; MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in primary‑care commercial, sales and marketing management within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of driving commercial growth and managing cross‑functional teams in complex environments.
• Strong strategic thinking, business development and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
