Remote Accountant for KSA Operations

About the role

York Towers is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to work remotely from Egypt, supporting its Saudi Arabian operations. The role is central to maintaining financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance for a growing technology‑focused real estate developer.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate day‑to‑day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for review by the Financial Manager.
• Reconcile bank statements, company accounts and payment‑gateway records.
• Track platform revenues (subscriptions, service fees, commissions) and reconcile them against system‑generated reports.
• Monitor operating expenses such as SaaS tools, cloud hosting, AI/API usage, marketing and payroll costs.
• Prepare and submit VAT and tax filings in compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations (ZATCA) in coordination with local tax advisors.
• Maintain organized financial records to support audits and assist with budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial planning.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant Saudi and international accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks and payment processors as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a tech or SaaS environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian tax regulations (VAT, Zakat) is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
